Privacy notice
What we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights under UK data protection law.
Who we are
RallyGood (charity registration pending) is the data controller for personal data described here. Contact: info@rallygood.org.uk.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or embedded third-party content, and it does not take donations or payments. Our hosting providers may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and reliability.
When you contact us
If you email us or use the contact form (which opens an email in your own email app), we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Our legal basis is legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, and consent where you ask to receive launch updates, which you can withdraw at any time.
Newsletter
If you sign up for updates, we use your email address (and name, if you give it) only to send you news about RallyGood, such as launch updates and Drop close-out reports. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you sign up. Until our email newsletter service is set up, sign-up requests arrive as an email to us and we add you to our list manually. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. We will not sell or share your details for marketing.
Other data we may hold in future
Once we begin fundraising we expect to hold donor details (including for Gift Aid), partner details and, with consent, photographs connected to Drops. We will update this notice before we start collecting that data.
How long we keep data
- Email correspondence: up to 2 years.
- Donor and Gift Aid records (once we hold them): 6 years after the last transaction, as required for Gift Aid audit.
Security and sharing
Personal data is held in access-controlled systems and is available only to authorised trustees. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties without consent, except where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted (subject to legal retention requirements), and to withdraw consent for communications. Email info@rallygood.org.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
